Going back in years, No.10 was once the Temperance Hotel, J Haggis Provisions Merchant all before turning into a family home.

Throughout the years..
1881 the Temperance Hotel is the home of Annie Young Hotel proprietor. Along with her two sisters Lena Mary Young and Elizabeth Pallon Cook and Domestic. Also her Nieces Catherine and Robina Pallon and Nephew Walter Thomas Pallon.
1891 - TBC
1901 Isabella Douglas Proprietor of the Hotel. Living with her is her two daughters Elizabeth Douglas a Postmistress and Matilda Douglas.
1911 Alexander Robertson and his wife Catherine Hotel Keepers, along with two of their daughters Mary a cook in the hotel and Janet waitress in the hotel. Also their son Alexander who is a groom.
1921 - TBC
1939 Rosanna Haggis wife of the late James Haggis (who's name is above the door on photo 2) and her daughter are listed at living at the hotel, Rosanna carrying out household duties, her daughter Lillian an unpaid domestic. Also Ethel May Oates a Hairdresser is residents them.
