Charles Ward Orde

Charles Ward Orde was born 1 March 1776.

Son of William Orde and Ann Ward. He was one of four children:

John Orde 1772–1858

William Orde 1773–1842

Thomas Orde 1779–1805

Married:

Maria Browne on 8 Dec 1808 at Saint Mary the Virgin, Twickenham: Church Street, Richmond Upon Thames, Richmond Upon Thames, Middlesex

They had one son, Charles William Orde born in 1810 at Nunnykirk.

Military:

Charles was a Major in the 9th Regiment Light Dragoons 17 July 1806 (vice Goldie)

He retied on 8 February 1810

Death:

Died of Fever on 16 March 1810 in Exeter, Devon, he  was buried on 22nd March 1810 at Exeter Cathedral.
