Henry Arkle was born on 8 February 1902 Healey, Netherwitton
Son of Ephraim Arkle of Healey Farm and Eleanor Handyside of West Farm, Hartburn.
His mother died in 1906, leaving his father to raise a young family.
In 1911 Henry aged 9 at living Healey Farm with his father.
By 1921 & 1939 Henry has stayed at South Healey, a farmer
There is no record of Henry marrying.
Military:
Henry became part of the Netherwitton Patrol (secret Stay-behind).
D-Day defending the IOW and also Defence of the Royal Family at Balmoral.
Henry's younger brother Matthew was also part of the patrol.
There is no record of Matthew of ever marrying.
Death:
17 Aug 1954 at Morpeth Cottage Hospital.
