Sergeant John Robert Pringle
John Robert Pringle born on 14 Aug 1896 Bothal.
Son of Robert William Pringle of Rothbury and Marian Maggie Wilson of Bolam. One of five children.

In 1911 John is at his grandparents William and Ann Pringle in Tritlington, listed as working on the farm, he is there with his siblings.
He is still at his grandparents at West Farm, Tritlington in 1921 a general labourer.

Hannah Bolam 21 June 1923, They had two children, Robert Pringle and Hannah Bolam Pringle.
In 1939 John a Shepherd & Hannah are living at the Bellion with their son Robert.
A WW1 veteran he served as a Private in Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was awarded General Service Medal with Iraq clasp.
John was enlisted in the Netherwitton Patrol Stay-Behind (Secret crew) in WWII
