John Phillipson Robson born 12 October 1895 Longhorsley, Northumberland.
Son of George Robson of Long Terrace, Netherwitton, and Ann Ridley of Hartburn who married in 1878. George a Mole Catcher & Farmer.

By 1911 he his working on Longlea farm.
In 1921 John is still at Longlea working as a Mole Catcher. His brother William is registered as the head of the family.
In 1926 they are living at Coal Houses Netherwitton, John charging £3 0s 0d for mole killing.
By 1939 John and Eleay are still living in Netherwitton village with their children, John the local Mole Catcher. John is also a ARP Warden.
